Why are my teeth wearing away so much?

Teeth Wearing Away FAQ | Lusk Family DentistryTeeth are made for chewing, and the outermost layer of teeth—the enamel—is the strongest substance in the body. Certain things can lead to wearing down of the teeth. If you are grinding and clenching your teeth, this can cause damage to the enamel and it can fracture fillings.

Problems With Your Bite

Malocclusion, or bite problems, can also cause excessive wearing of teeth. An occlusal adjustment corrects the alignment of the bite. Once your bite is adjusted, your teeth will meet properly, preventing unnecessary wear.
